At No Waste Republic, we are fully committed to reducing our environmental impact, especially by optimizing our energy consumption at every stage of our production.

Optimization of our electricity consumption

We put a major part of our efforts into reducing our consumption.

In fact, our energy mix is significantly better than that of companies producing traditional breadcrumbs.

More responsible transportation

We collect surplus bread using large trucks to maximize the efficiency of each trip. The bread is transported to our production facility in containers that ensure food safety.

For deliveries within Brussels, we partner with the company “Cargo vélo,” which handles 100% of our deliveries by electric cargo bike.

Packaging reduction

We work closely with our suppliers to minimize the use of cardboard in transporting fresh bread to our facility.

Improvement of the drying process

Under optimal hygiene conditions, we stabilize the received bread by drying it to prevent any risk of bacterial growth. We then process it into various ingredients before packaging.

We are testing different solutions to make this step more energy-efficient.
